๐Ÿ‚Fall Harvest!!๐Ÿ

๐ŸHappy fall everyone! ๐Ÿ‚ So, here is the update!

We were expecting a light frost to hit our area this past Sunday (10/16/22), so we were harvesting like crazy the past couple of weeks. That Sunday morning we harvested everything that was left (pumpkins, corn for seed, green beans etc.), so the frost would not damage the produce. It was cloudy and our hands were freezing, especially since everything was wet due to rain and fog. It was a very fun time, though!

It turns out that even though it did reach 32 F that night, nothing froze, praise God! This means that the plants that we didnโ€™t get to harvest, such as the pinto beans, can still grow! We have been praying that God delays the frost and he has each week. He listens!

Here are some photos of what we harvested. Since there is no longer much to harvest, it is now time for the next task. Finding a way to preserve everything, whether it be freezing, canning or dehydrating!
