Volunteer & Learning Opportunities
At SunFlores Farm, we love to share our knowledge with others. If you’re looking into learning/applying non-pesticide farming skills, as well as other skills that will help you start your own country-living journey, then this may be the position for you!
Due to limited living space, all positions will remain open until all spaces are full. If you would like to be put on a waiting list and be contacted when a living space is open, please contact directly through call or email!
2025 Farming Apprentice/Assistant
As a farming apprentice/assistant, not only will you learn non-pesticide farming skills and techniques, but you will get to put them into use here on our farm. You will be under the guidance of our head farmer and will have help from others during this time.
*There is a minimum stay time of 1 week. Longer-term stays can be discussed (contact directly). Position opens the first week of April, but you can apply beforehand. Limited space. *
**This is a volunteer position** Housing, utilities, food & local transportation will be provided. This is a learning opportunity where you will gain skills that may help you begin your own country-living journey. Skills taught will depend on the duration of your stay.
Main Responsibilities
Learning from and assisting the main farmer
Soil prep, plant maintenance, harvesting
Assisting in maintaining farm in good conditions (weeding, trimming, pick-up etc.)
Assisting with farmer’s market preps and sales
Harvesting herbs, washing, drying and storing
Learning to and assisting in food preservation (canning, drying, dehydrating, vacuum sealing, etc.)
Other Responsibilities May Include:
Assisting with health/herbal classes
Potentially assisting with lifestyle treatments
Assisting with Bible Studies

Qualifications & Requirements
Age 18+
Good listening skills
Efficient worker
Excellent communications skills
Can speak fluent English
Great learner
US Citizen
Enjoys working in a group environment
Ability to lift at least 50lb
Attention to details
Enjoys participating in market environment (farmer’s market)
Open to assisting in other areas, such as making natural products, cleaning, cooking, etc.
